WHO IS FSAC?

Established in 2019, we are a not-for profit organization of industry members who working alongside various organizations that have an interest in the regulation of fertilizers and fertilizer supplements. Our goal is to develop a best-in-class regulatory environment for Canadian fertilizers and supplements.

CONSULT
  • Consults with regulators (CFIA, PMRA) on various matters.
  • Helps steer, draft and revise regulatory framework and policies launched by the regulators.
  • A sounding board of industry professionals that regulators turn to for consultation.
CONTRIBUTE
  • Various working groups to the drafting, discussion and revision of any regulatory initiative launched by CFIA or PMRA.
  • Bringing forward industry and marketplace concerns and “irritants”.
  • Assists to the work of other agencies and groups aiming at advancing fertilizer and supplement regulation in Canada.
COMMUNICATE
  • Communicates regulatory changes to industry and stakeholders.
  • Communicates marketplace regulatory needs to the regulators.
  • Communicates with other groups and stakeholders to bring to the forefront of regulatory aspects of the fertilizer and supplement sector.

We provide broad based industry input to regulatory policy being developed by CFIA Fertilizers Section, and advise the CFIA of new products and technologies in the pipeline so that appropriate regulatory policy will be available as they emerge.
